Coconut Oil: Your Skin's Best Friend
When it comes to skincare, I'm no doctor - I'm actually far from it. But one thing I know for certain is coconut oil has been working wonders for my skin, especially my face.
If you're a lazy girl, like me, you know that once your head hits the pillow, PJs are on, and Netflix is playing - heading to the bathroom to wash your face is the last thing you want to do. Let's just say that I've fallen asleep one too many times with my mascara still in tact and have woken up with lipstick smudges on my face. It's bad, I know. As I've gotten older, I've really been a lot more disciplined when its come to my skincare routine - even if that said routine requires sleepily getting out of my bed to cleanse my face.
When coconut oil made its way onto my skin, I knew there was no turning back. I was obsessed. I've always been one to try new things, especially natural products like apple cider vinegar to wash my hair (see my post on this), using coconut oil to 'oil pull' (will do a post on this soon!), and even to remove my eye makeup, but using it as a facial moisturizer is amazingness.
All you have to do is 1) wash your face with a cleanser 2) take a small amount of coconut oil and rub in your hands till it turns into a liquid 3) rub into face 4) let it do its thang.
I prefer to use this at night, since the oil fully works its way into my skin overnight. You'll wake up with baby soft skin in the AM, I can promise you that. You're welcome.
