A hefty glass of Malbec can pretty much remedy anything that ails me. Am I right or am I right? As much as a glass of vino is my go-to drink-of-choice, I'm always trolling for new cocktail recipes. Hi, Grapefruit Agave Marg and White Cranberry Sangria.
I'm not a huge liquor connoisseur, actually I'm far from it. I mostly drink liquor when I know that I'll be quote on quote - raging. Yes, I just said "raging". But in all seriousness, vodka, soda + a hint of lime juice is my weekend cocktail-of-choice when I know that I'll be venturing uptown or just staying out past my normal 11pm bedtime. But there's something a little more sophisticated about the process of actually making a cocktail after a long workday. Think Mad Men vibes minus the cigs.
In lieu of my normal glass or two of red, I opted to take a few sips of my boyfriend's new favorite drink of choice. Gin + sparkling lime water + cucumbers (ok, maybe I added that for the photo opp, but it was delish nonetheless) and it was certainly as good as it sounds. Not to mention, actually healthy which isn't necessarily the word that comes to mind when you're thinking about downing a cocktail.
Cucumber Gin Spritzer
Tanqueray gin (or your gin-of-choice)
Sparkling soda; in this case, we used Dasani Lime Sparkling Water
Cucumbers for garnish
Fill tumbler with ice
Add 2 shots gin. Top with sparkling soda water.
Add cucumber slices.
Drink up.
