Charlotte Favorites
One of my most recent posts referenced how appropriate it would be for me to taste test my way through all of the go-to Charlotte coffee shops. It seemed far too appropriate for this coffee fiend. Although I’ve gone to a few cafés and have definitely found some I’m fully willing to commit to; I’ve explored some other great spots along the way. Think cocktails, macaroons and chopped gourmet salads.
These spots are just a few of my new go-to spots, but I will definitely add to the list!
Amélie’s French Bakery | This shop reminds me of a French Anthropologie; tons of dazzling chandeliers, ethereal trees and majestic trumpets hanging from the ceiling – it’s whimsical in all the best ways. Oh and vanilla bean & almond milk café au lait’s are the remedy to any sleepy day and they have a huge assortment of homemade macaroons that are calling your name. I’m certain I will spend far too much money here. Opps.
Chopt | For those of you who know me, I love my salads. Chopt is totally my spirit animal. You can create your own salad with your choice of greens, toppings and/or protein and they take the time to actually chop the salad for you (hence the name). No more awkward lunch dates with lettuce coming out of your mouth. TMI? Whatever.
Not Just Coffee | I have yet to hit up the Atheron Mill location, but the 7th Street Market shop was on point. I’m especially sucker for their logo (marketing nerd) and their almond milk café au lait’s (see a pattern here?) are divine. Oh and they just so happened to be on the list of top coffee shops in the country – consider them way more than kind of a big deal.
Nan and Byron’s | This little spot is very close to my work and offered an assortment of classic cocktails. French 75s, anyone? I stuck with a hearty glass of Malbec, but the next time I’m there I’m definitely going for the Sparkling Mojito with Prosecco.
Draught | Well hi there, college! Apparently this bar & grill offers beer pong and flip cup. I must go back, ASAP. I will say this was the perfect spot to tailgate a Panther’s game, complete with indoor and outdoor seating and mimosa’s.
Freedom Park | One lunch break I decided to just drive around aimlessly; it’s pretty much my new favorite hobby. This park had been on my Charlotte to-do list and it sure didn’t disappoint. Tons of people running/walking their fur babies, fountains and lots of running trails. I need to go back.
Total Wine | This is wine heaven. I mean they have beer and stuff too, but oh the wine. Did I mention the prices were incredible? I’ve already bought 18 bottles. Ya, this new relationship is really real.
