It's heartbreaking to think of all the lives lost on September 11, 2001. It's a day, I will never forget. I was in the 5th grade and I remember seeing my mom sitting outside on the porch with her head in her hands bawling. 

At only 10-years-old, I didn't necessarily understand the meaning of all that was going on, but I did know it was an absolute tragedy. A tragedy that would never be forgotten. As Americans, I knew we would prevail. We came together at a time when we needed to the most and I will certainly not forget that love.
