I recently saw a quote on Instagram that pulled at my heartstrings. “Live passionately” was scribbled in delicate cursive. Live passionately. It struck me at a time where I must say I needed to see it the most. A time where maybe I felt the days were just flying by and the monotonous tasks seemed so redundant even the clock couldn’t slow my mind down.

As I sat in a desk, in a room, staring at a laptop screen, wondering if I’m where I’m supposed to be, those words played in my head like a peaceful chord. Sometimes I get a little too caught up in the future, a little too worried about where I’ll be in 3 months, 1 month or 2 weeks that I don’t slow down and appreciate those teeny tiny moments that provide a fleeting sense of happiness. The first sip of a frothy latte, the smile a ‘good morning’ text brings, the delicate bloom of a lavender orchid, the effortless twirl in a dress, uneasiness your legs feel after a rewarding run. Those moments that make you feel something; those are the ones you don’t want to forget. Bottle those up, savor them, but don’t let them go. That’s living passionately…
