I have an absolutely weird obsession with makeup. My makeup bag(s) is constantly overflowing with products I’ve given a shot to my Holy Grail products that I absolutely positively cannot live without. If being a makeup hoarder is a thing, I’m guilty as charged.
The other day at work, one of my co-workers asked me about the products I use for my brows. My inner makeup lover thoughts went a little something like this: Eeekkkk! Yay! A girl that gets my love of makeup and loves makeup herself – yesssss!!
Ok, so maybe it wasn’t that verbatim, but you get the idea. I went off on a tangent on the brow product I can’t live without (see below) and others that might come second best. We then continued our conversation about how our ultimate guilty pleasure is watching YouTube makeup tutorials. I knew I found another makeup junkie and I was consumed with my girly girl excitement. Swoon. Before you start thinking I’m a crazy makeup lunatic, which I definitely am, give some of my Holy Grial products a try and then get back to me. You won’t regret these buys, ladies, I promise.
*my color is Soft Brown
Oh boy, where do I start with this lifesaver? Well, I’ve forever been trolling the reviews and I have yet come across a negative one. I bought this last week and I am in love. You need this in your life, trust me.
Makeup For Ever Ultra HD Foundation
*my color is #118 "Fresh"
Let’s just say, I’m notorious for switching foundations every few months. I try one out, ditch it for another and so on and so forth. Well, when I tried Makeup For Ever’s HD Foundation I knew I had found a keeper. First and foremost, #118 perfectly matches my skin tone, hides redness and gives me a fresh look even if I’ve pressed snooze one too many times.
Loreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara
I know I’ve mentioned this product in previous posts, but I couldn’t leave out one of my favorite mascaras. This gives my lashes major volume and perfectly fans out each of my lashes. For the price point, it’s amazing and a must-buy!
If you haven’t given this sponge a go, you’re missing out. It distributes your liquid foundation evenly and gives you a fresh look without feeling like you’ve caked on your makeup. Pro tip: Instead of dipping the sponge in your liquid foundation, add a little foundation on your face and blend. This will prevent the blender from using too much of your foundation.
NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer
*my shade is Groenland
Honestly, I had never heard of this product until I read Alina’s makeup review on Cupcakes + Cashmere. I was completely sold when I found out this product was not only a moisturizer, but had SPF 30 and was tinted. NARS, you get me. This product is ideal for those days where you just don’t want to tackle your foundation routine, but still want to even out your skin tone. It masks redness and gives you that fresh dewy look that I absolutely love.
Almay Longwear & Waterproof Gentle Eye Makeup Remover
I have sensitive skin. Lets jst say, I had one horrible eye makeup remover problem that resulted in some extremely puffy eyes and lots of sunglass wearing. I won’t go into the details, but you get the idea. For years, I’d purchase pricey makeup remover products because I was fearful that any other product would result in Picasso looking puffy eyes and sunglasses inside. When I tried Almay’s sensitive skin makeup remover, I knew I just couldn’t go back to those $20+ products. This stuff is my lifesaver and it doesn’t dent my wallet, my makeup bag loves it.
Jane Iredale ‘Forever Pink’ Lip and Cheek Stain
For an au natural look, this stuff is my go-to. I love how the color gives my lips the perfect natural tint and that it doubles as a cheek stain. If you’re looking for something for an every day look this should definitely be on your makeup wish list.
