Let's be real, less is more when it comes to makeup. Even though summer is gone (casually sobbing), it doesn't mean you need to cake your face with matte foundation.

I love lipstick. Pretty much a given, right? I mean my blog is called Lipstick + Love. Let's just say collecting a large amount of lipstick shades is the best excuse to count purchasing another tube as brand 'research'. Sounds like a good enough excuse to me.

I’m going to be real with you all; I used to shampoo my hair every day. That’s a huge no-no, you guys – a huge no-no. As a girl who works out 6 days a week, I always felt gross if I didn’t shampoo my hair every time I got in the shower. Wrong.

When it comes to a proper skincare routine, this girl is considered the laziest of the lazy. If falling asleep in eye makeup is standard then consider me a pro. Since I've been a 20-something-year-old, I've realized that my Clean and Clear every other night isn't necessarily cutting it for my skin.

Summer Must-Haves
Those who know me, know that I’ve been working out my credit card like whoa recently. I’m sorry little guy, but my summer-style needed a little revamp. Anyways, as the season is dwindling down (ugh), anything and everything summer-related is on sale, which is pretty bad for my bank account. Oh well.

Bag Essentials
Any girl will tell you, without her bag she feels naked. Yes, naked.
If I’m not toting around a huge hobo or a cross body bag is not over my shoulders, there’s something wrong and maybe I should start looking for my wallet ASAP. Kidding.
I will say there are a few items in my bag that I just won’t remove. Maybe I’ll switch up my purse, but those items stick it out for the long haul. Even if that means I’m constantly trying to find my EOS at the bottom of my bag. Opps.
{ left to right }
Moleskine| Since I handle blogging for both my personal and work life, some type of notebook is appropriate. Plus, I'm a big believer in lists. I'm fairly certain my life would be some sort of chaos if I didn't have a list (this can give you an idea).
'Vanilla Mint' eos | This isn't just a must, it's a necessity. Not only does this stuff give my lips some major moisture and shine, but the shape helps me find it at the bottom of my purse. Ladies, you know what I'm talking about.
Skateboard USB | My b-friend got me this bad boy and even though the wheels fell off (I tend to break most things, especially since I throw my purse on the ground), it's still a must-have in my bag. Not to mention, it always has the latest episode of Mad Men on little guy. Thanks C.
'Coral Crush'| Ok, I love lipstick and balm and gloss and everything in-between, but this tube is always in my bag. Always. Not only is the price tag amazing, but this color works great on every skin tone. Ps. it looks super ah-mazing on tan skin (try these little things out for some sunless tanning help. Your pale legs will thank you.).
Posie Tint | This stuff is the jam. If you don't know, now you now. I've definitely blogged about this lip + cheek stain before. I just can't get enough of this stuff. No really. I use it everyday.
Bobby pins | My bobby pins have traveled more places than I have ever, will ever travel.. Whether they're on the ground in my room, bathroom, hotel rooms, jammed under my car seat - these thangs have journeyed everywhere. Naturally, I need 100s of them.
Sunless Tanning Review: Tan Towels
Whoa. White legs. You are quite blinding.
The first few days of spring time warmth and the days start to feel like mini heat waves. Insert: the newfound ability to rock swingy skirts and lose the opaque black tights to bare your stems. You know, the ones that haven’t had vitamin D since last September? Those stems.

It’s that time of year to switch your winter threads for your lighter floral and sleeveless dresses and we (I) all go into utter panic mode.
1) Ghost-like paleness is quite frightening to the eye.
2) Overcoming winter’s dry skin issue is also a problem.
Major dilemma.
Let me preface this by saying, I don’t normally support the gross unnatural tans, but when your legs are as white as mine you make exceptions. Lots of exceptions.
Legs, meet TanTowels. If they had a doppelganger it would definitely be a Wet Wipe and I kinda love it. I not only got a non-streaky, non-Oompa Loompa glow, but it lasted 4-5 days. Here’s what I did:
Need:
-1 full body Tan Towel Plus towelette (1/2 body ones are only good for just half your body, obviously)
-1 pale bod
Directions:
1. Shower and exfoliate your skin. *Definitely shave your legs, as well. They don’t say it on the package, but it’s a must.
2. Get nakey.
3. Open the towel and in a circular motion wipe it all over your body. I started from my feet to my neck to prevent forgetting what I wiped. (If you feel like the wipe is completely gone, flip it on the opposite side.)
4. Let dry. Stay nakey for a little and let it completely dry or you’ll get that unwanted streaky look.
Personal tips:
- Don’t use them right before bed. Use them at least 45 minutes before you go to bed. I’ve heard people get streaky when they get right into bed after application.
- Wash your hands immediately after you use the towel to prevent streaking.
- Use the towel lightly. I messed up my feet the first time I did it because I was rubbing a little too hard.
- On areas that are prone to dryness (elbows, knuckles, etc.), moisturize prior to using the wipes.
